The tempurature goes down and the numbers go up!

10°C below zero, cold toes, cold fingers, sniffy noses, and slushy streets don’t stop the street children from coming to our center. In fact, the numbers are increasing. I’m sure the hot soup has something to do with that. And naturally it’s cold season, so the clinic is busier than usual. At the end of the day, clean up takes a bit longer because of all the snow and mud tracked into the center, but it’s no bother when you know that you’re working to maintain a place where the children can find refuge from the freezing winter.

There is something truly special about our center. We have one of the most successful social centers in the whole of the city for street children. We know this by the statistics and results which we compiled. Are you ready?... here they are:

15 children admitted to school for the first time

10 children stopped using intoxicating substances

50 children asked for the help of psychologist
40 children asked for counseling for drug abuse
15 children were placed into drug rehabilitation centers
10 children approached lawyers to resolve problems with the law
